Question:
does anyone have any experience with the Jackson Kelly Guitar, I have been looking to pick up a new one and I just fell in love with the looks of it. So if you have played on what do you think of it. Or can anyone else recommend a good guitar for playing heavy stuff like PanterA type material.
Answer:
I came about this close to buying a Jackson Kelly. I was about to buy a Jackson Kelly, but then I discovered the new BC Rich Warlock NJ with widow headstock. I fell in love. Really, any guitar with the correct pickups is a good guitar for metal-hard rock. Just about any import guitar you will probably want to replace the pickups. American made guitars have so much better quality pickups. Check out this URL for more info on the import Warlock: http://www.guitarshop.net/bcrichnjwarlockwidow1.htm I was in the market for a guitar that cost around 600 bucks, so I went to Guitar Center to check it out. First, I went and grabbed an Ibanez that I'd seen in a catalog and played it. Wonderful neck. Then, I grabbed the Kelly and didn't like it much. The neck and the frets just weren't right for me.
