I was lucky enough to stumble across a recording of The South Wind while hunting through reviews of my soon to be guitar (Taylor GS, delivered Monday hopefully). It really is a beautiful song, and I found a transcription by John Renbourn which seems to suit me well. Could any of you more knowledgeable folk point me in the right direction for finding songs in a similar vein? I'm stuck on a wee island in the Caribbean, so getting things to me is fairly expensive, so I'd ideally like to stick to on-line resources, but from my little search around I'm having a tough time finding them

it didn't even occur to me to check if he had a website, I already have a few tabs of his, but a lot of the ones are past my skill level for now. Judy looks do-able. Probably a good idea to try some of the other ones, see if I can recall how to read music. Suffering is very relative . the constant threat of sunburn, the.. err.. no, that's all I've got.. Been working here for just over a year now, it beats a cold bleak journey to work in London . Gave me the change to improve a great deal at guitar (now I'm merely awful) so hoping to make the leap to bearable in the next year. The Taylor is painfully close, currently it's sitting in a container at the docks, and it's looking like late Wed or into Thur before it's at the head of the queue, so I'm currently a mixture of excited, grumpy and worried. Lounging in a bit metal box in the sun can't be ideal, I'm hoping the case+packaging/box will keep things healthy? (I'm not actually looking for an honest answer, merely 'yes, it'll be fine
