I am looking for a repairman in the Atlanta area who is expert at major repairs to vintage guitars. It would help if you have direct experience with him doing such repairs and restoration.

Slim pickins. Kent Everett has done some restoration work on a Gibson A5 (1920s, I think) for a friend of mine (Lyle Green), but his schedule's pretty full. There's a *great* amp shop (Bakos Amp Repair), but I've never found a guitar shop here that inspired a great deal of confidence. With Jim Grainger about 4 hours away at Custom Fretted Instruments or James Burkett probably about the same distance in Alabama, I'd be inclined to drive and be dead certain than to venture into anything here in the metro area. Not the response you were hoping for, I'm sure, but hopefully helpful in the long run.
