Question:
I bought a Washburn electric Guitar some years ago. It has 29 frets one humbucker in the bridge and one humbucker in single coil format in the nech position, active electrics, a stevens extended cutaway, a floyd rose and itīs finish is black with a effect that looks like it ripped and there is red and blue shining through. Can someone tell me the name of that instrument, what it cost and when it was built ?
Answer:
It probably was an EC29. That was the most popular of the 29fret ones (I've seen other custom shops, mostly one-offs). I'm also guessing it was pre-1990. They pop up every now and then on ebay. They say George Washburn on the headstock instead of just plain Washburn. There are also some EC36's floating around (you guess it - 36 frets).
