Question:
Anyone try it? It looks a little silly with the star tailpiece, and the design seems to cry for a lawsuit by Ibanez (it's basically an Iceman with a few corners changed), but reading the description of the higher end models, it seems like it might be a pretty cool guitar. Don't know if I'll ever see one in my local stores anytime soon...
Answer:
I've played one of them, the REAL Paul Stanley one made just for him!!! On a recent trip to Chicago, I had the opportunity to visit the Washburn custom guitar shop. While there, I got the chance to see the actual guitar they were making for Paul to take on the Psycho Circus tour. Talk about a lawsuit!! they actually made hime one covered in mirror pieces just like one Ed Roman's shop made for Paul from an Iceman when he was playing them. It's awesome, by the way. They actually let me test it out, which shocked the hell out of me. I've heard lots of people talk about that BUzz Feiten tuning system, but after actually experiencing it, I can honestly say that I feel a great improvement with it. The guitar had nice sustain, and it felt pretty comortable to play. I tried to take pics in there, but they were afraid I might sell em, so they kindly asked me to refrain, but at least I got a try at it before Paul!
