Question:
The Rogue KBR-1560 is the only stereo keyboard amp I can find. It's inexpensive ($230); is it any good? I bought the Behringer stereo guitar amp (UltraTwin), but it does not have stereo inputs (except for Aux), so I'm probably going to return it. My main kb is the Yamaha P60, so I want flat response, although I also use a PSR synth.
Answer:
I was thinking the same thing. I'd be really skeptical of a stereo amp; what kind of separation do you really expect to achieve at a distance of more than a couple of feet? There's a reason stereo usually means a *pair* of speakers. That said, some amps are better set up to be used as stereo pairs. The Roland KC series is set up that way, where you can plug all your inputs into one, do whatever mixing you want there (not there is much to do), and then run a cable out to a second that works as a slave, and they handle out the stereo separation automatically.
