I know this group has discussed and pretty much come to a consensus that there is in fact one best acoustic guitar .. (I'll refrain from mentioning just exactly what that guitar is, lest we dredge up old disagreements
Answer:
I have three acoustic worthy amps (4 if you include the Ultrasound Powered Extension cab). I have a Centaur Acoustic P.A. that I use if I'm using guitar synth or playing with a rock band (piezo equipped electrics) and need to be loud. I have a Trace TA100R that I haven't used to play out with yet. Just plug in once in awhile at home so far. Then I have the Ultrasound 2 channel model and powered extension cab. The Ultrasound has the best tone to my ears and gets used the most. But they all have their uses. Well best was pretty much tongue-in-cheek. I know that 'price-no-object' could get pretty esoteric. I'm really trying to find something that sounds good, is relatively compact, and isn't outrageously expensive. I guess I'm looking for the 'D-15' of the acoustic amps .
