HELP on Power Acoustik Amp....

Tagged As: Power Acoustik Amp

Question:
I wanna buy a power acoustik amp, for my subs, BUT i heard that these amps can start fires and burn out easy....especially the fire and ice series.... is there any truth to this???

Answer:
Back many moons ago when i first got into car audio i got suckered into buying a power acoustik 4 channel amp. i had it for probably 4 months tops before it burnt out. in that 4 months i had gotten a little bit of education on the subject and learned that i had in fact been screwed over. I went back and screwed them by causing a scene in front a bunch of customers and ended up trading that power acoustik for a nice kicker impulse amp which is still going strong to this day! these days i avoid power acoustik like the plague and suggest everyone else who asks to do the same. save your rubels and go buy a nice amp like a/d/s hell even fosgate makes a nice amp. crotchfield has the infinity beta 300 (class D 1000 watts 2 ohm stable) for 400 bucks. backordered until 6-30 but still a nice deal. that ought to pound the hell out of my IDQ DVC 12's.
