Question:
I'm looking at Yorkvilles 200 watt single fifteen combo.. and I'm tempted. anyone got one, talk to me! suggest something else in the same category.. med size rock gigs.. It's not so much volume, but I want rich thick deep tones... I don't want farty break up or thin 12 speaker type sounds basically it's just a monitor. but.. I can't have a crappy monitor.. and if things change, I may want to use a good deal of those two hundred watts the hartke reviews I read and the swr reviews I read all made it pretty clear that their amps might have problems with full low end esp. at anything over rehearsal volume.. five hundred bucks is what I'm shooting at.. thereabouts.
Answer:
I have an SWR Workingman's 15 and I love the sound of it. I bought it used on ebay for around 400. New ones are around 699 at Musican's Friend. I did like the guarantee on the Yorkville and they sound pretty good but I liked the SWR sound much better.
