Question:
Does anyone have info on a Walter Woods bass amp: MI 200-8. The amp is red, 2 channels, XLR balanced outs and fx loop jacks on the front panel, rated 225 rms (per channel? bridged?) The addr on the base plate is Van Nuys, CA. Not sure if that means it's recent or older. (He is now in Palm Desert, right?) Mr. Woods is apparently not available by phone, so I'm trying to see if anyone has any data on this or other similar models.
Answer:
I have the same amp. It is 225 watts per channel into 8 ohms. About 450 bridged into 8 ohms. You can nearly double the power into a 4 ohm cabinet but your total speaker impedence bust not be less than 4 ohm per channel or 8 ohms bridged. The best way to get in touch with Walter is at (760) 772-7952 . Tell the answering machine that you own an amp and have some specific questions. He usually picks up then. There is a pic of my amp on my Gear page at
