i'm possibly looking at getting a new amp and have found a shop here in the uk with what seems to be quite reasonably priced warwick bass heads - anyone have any thoughts on these? are they any good? i'm using SWR at the moment but feel like a change - the SWR has never really had enough 'ooomph!' for me......

take a look at http://www.music-store-koeln.de/start.htm for German prices first as they're often very very much cheaper than UK for warwick including postage. They're also some of the cheapest in Germany. Otherwise, I've got their catalogue and I can check a price for you if your Germin isn't up to it. I'm not real impressed with the Warwick heads. They are kind of noisy, and for the price they don't sound nearly as good as an Eden. SWR, or even Ampeg. When I worked at Mars, we had the same three Warwick heads for years - they had been there since the store opened. Theuy finally had to sell them at way below cost just to get rid of 'em.
