Question:
WTB: MARSHALL MICRO STACK (Practice Amps) I am looking to purchase a MARSHALL MICRO STACK(Practice Amps) from the Late 1980's or early 1990's. They came in Three or Four Colors Red,White, Blue & Classic Marshall Grey. If you want to make some fast money. E-mail me with what you have and how much you are asking for it.
Answer:
Ah yes, the misinformed public and their terms for the alternate size Marshalls. Yes, I think you may be correct on this one that the person is looking for those 12 volt amps. I have one and never even considered those as the ones that were being sought after. As for the terminology of Marshalls, it is getting confusing. I am a HUGE fan of the Marshall mini stacks from the 80's, so these micro amps, being called mini is a pet-peeve of mine. Anyway.... Full-size - These are about 6' tall as a full-stack and have 4x12 cabs Mini-size - These are about 5'2 tall as a full-stack and have either 4x10 cabs or the 2x12 cabs. Mid-size - These are about 4'6 tall as a full-stack and have 1x12 cabs. Micro-size - About 3' tall as a full-stack and have 1x8 cabs. Micro-size #2 - Those little half-stack and full-stack 9-volt powered amps that are about 5 1/2 and 9 1/2 tall, respectively. Anyway, I hope this helps people out with the Marshall stack terminology.
