Question:
Not the battery powered micro one, the 15-watt head stacked on 2 1x10 cabs. I bought one just for the cabs. Anyone want to buy the head? Actually, as a practice amp, it's not bad -- lots of overdrive capability, it has a headphone output in front, and (get this) a CD input for practicing along with a CD. That's one I haven't seen before. Anyone interested?
Answer:
The cabs have, well, one has a Jensen and one has a Weber. They both sound great, and different one from the other, under several low-power tube amps, including an Emery and a THD. They sound good attatched to a Velocette, too. As to price, I don't know. I was kind of hoping someone would make an offer. I don't think $80 or so would be unreasonable, I guess. The complete rigs are $280 street, and the original 10's in the cabs are worse than useless, and can't cost Marshall more than 10 bucks each to insert, maybe less. So that figures the cabs at a value of $90 each empty, and more each than the head itself. Seems more than fair to me. Actually, I may have this problem again soon, since I am thinking of getting another. The cabs themselves are nice once you load a real speaker in them.
