Question:
I have been told there is (or used to be) a paperback reprint of Valley & Wallman's MIT RadLab Series text Vacuum Tube Amplifiers in the $20 ballpark. I was told Dover books did it (they had no idea what I was talking about, and it wasn't in their current catalog). The other source is allegedly A.R.C., but I have no idea what that stands for. Any help, or an unwanted copy?
Answer:
I got a copy from A.R.C. - Antique Radio Classified for about $30 w/ shipping. Phone 978-371-0512. They take MC and Visa. A good book, by the way. Another good book for beginning tube amp designers is Valve Amplifiers by Morgan Jones. It's less technical, but covers more examples. Vacuum Tube Amplifiers is a much more advanced textbook. Valve Amplifiers is probably available from Antique Electronic Supply, http://www.tubesandmore.com
