Fender Amp Repair In Nashville

Tagged As: Vintage Amp Repair

Question:
Does anyone have an amp repair shop in Nashville (or the vicinity) that does good work and that you can trust? I've heard stories of pieces in vintage gear being swapped or taken out that didn't need to be (IOW they did it to get the vintage part and replaced it with a new part, keeping the vintage part themselves). Is there a place anyone can recommend for working on a mid 50's model Fender tube amp?

Answer:
Mars was a Johnny-come-lately big box chain store, too. Not exactly the kind of place someone intelligent would seek out a vintage amp repair in Nashville. I'm certain there's a dozen small mom-n- pop stores here that could reliably do the work, but since I'm not gear nostalgic, I have no idea who or where they may be. I think I'll re-post the original query on nashville.general, and see if any leads surface.
