Good Yamaha home theater systems?

Tagged As: Yamaha Home Theater

Question:
Are there any good yamaha home theater systems in the $400-500 range (discounted mail order) (with speakers)? Need coax digital input and DD/DTS.

Answer:
Forget the Yamaha, get the Kenwood HTB-503. Exactly in your price range, beats the beejesus out of the Yamaha (or anything else). Check out the reviews of both systems at www.audioreview.com and www.ecoustics.com There really is no contest between the 2. Kenwood does DD/DTS, not 1, but 2 dig. coax input (2 optical input also), 100 watts per channel, 8 powered sub and the Kenwood VR-407 receiver that is worth around $275 alone. System is able to be bought at Sears with their price matching policy for $399.69 + tax with a printout from here http://www.aaacamera.com/kenwood_htb503_home_theater_system.html Get it now!
