Has anyone tried to use eMedia Guitar Method 1? Is it a useful learning tool for the beginner?  Is it worth the cash?  Is it geared towards either an electric or acoustic?

Answer:
I used the first version of it. IMO, it was well worth the money. In fact, I'd tried to learn several years earlier by taking lessons from an instructor and gave up in frustration. Not so this time. Still going strong and enjoying it immensely. They have a demo for each of the products.  I used Emedia 1, worked out fine for me.  I'm thinking about getting the Blues program next.  What's nice is you can pass it on to friends or family who want to give guitar playing a try.  You can always take lessons after completing the basics. http://www.emedia.org/gm1.html I just bought this about 3 months ago.  I think it's pretty good.  It gets you playing songs almost right away and lets you record yourself also--to see how you sound.  I don't sound very good, but I'm learning! I think it's worth the money.
