Question:
I bought a shure Headset vocal rig for walk around guitar / vocal gigs a couple of years back. The headset mic is a WH10 (WH10TQG in europe) T1G Transmitter (T11 Europe) T3 reciever The unit itself is OK, the system for fitting the mic to my head is terrible, but the bottom line is the vocal quality is poor and my voice just sounds bad. I also have a Countryman Headset Microphone wired not a wireless system that has a lovely tone but is not wireless. Question is ... can I modify the countryman to be used with the sure trasmitter / reciever etc and if so..... whats involved. If its not possible.... could I buy a better Shure headset mic only, then use it with the shure hardware
Answer:
I'm sorry to have bad news for you. Unfortunately, the Shure Guitar version transmitter does not provide sufficient power to our microphones. All other Shure transmitters work providing they use the TA4F connector. The second problem, Isomax Headset hardwired for phantom power is not compatible for wireless use. We sell a specific model for wireless use. Please see attachment for user price list.
