Can anyone recommend a good studio microphone with the clip on attachment for an alto sax. I can't find a source to research specific models that work well with woodwinds!
Answer:
For recording - any good condenser mic on a stand, preferably mounted in a cradle. The clipons I tried were AKG 408, Ramsa WM-S1, and Shure WM98. The sound quality of the Shure was the best, the Ramsa had the best clamp.
