Hi ! I have been looking for information on throat microphones for use in speech recognition . Not much luck so far. Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

An excellent microphone that can be used as a throat microphone, lapel microphone or microphone that can just be mounted on your desktop is the Sennheiser MKE-2-60 with the Sennheiser K 6 power module. This microphone is expensive but it works beautifully. The signal output is about the best you will get from any microphone . I have reported on this microphone prior as a lapel microphones. I just tried it as a throat microphone wrapped under a sock around my neck. Absolutely perfect. The one drawback is that every throat clearing will want to be interpreted as some voice. This microphone even works when placed in your ear.
