Question:
i'm looking to buy a very small keyboard/electronic organ. it needs to have at least 32 keys, but just half or three-quarter size. the max size of the whole keyboard needs to be a sheet of a4 (i.e. 30cm wide max, 20cm deep max). rather less if possible. it needs internal sounds (i.e. i want it to play standalone, without connecting to a synth or laptop (although downloading fonts to store would be ok) and needs to have lineout/headphones out. midi/usb would be nice, but not necessary. a modern-day vl-tone is i guess what i'm looking for. the m-audio audio workstation Ozone is physically too big, and needs a laptop i presume to use soundfonts, so can't be used standalone? the best compromise i can do seems to be buy a vintage 80's casio with really poor sound/keys, so i think i must be missing something? i've looked at the walkstations (qy-10) etc but i think i do need a proper keyboard layout, even if half-size i'm looking to buy a very small keyboard/electronic organ. it needs to have at least 32 keys, but just half or three-quarter size. the max size of the whole keyboard needs to be a sheet of a4 (i.e. 30cm wide max, 20cm deep max). rather less if possible. it needs internal sounds (i.e. i want it to play standalone, without connecting to a synth or laptop (although downloading fonts to store would be ok) and needs to have lineout/headphones out. midi/usb would be nice, but not necessary. a modern-day vl-tone is i guess what i'm looking for. the m-audio audio workstation Ozone is physically too big, and needs a laptop i presume to use soundfonts, so can't be used standalone? the best compromise i can do seems to be buy a vintage 80's casio with really poor sound/keys, so i think i must be missing something? i've looked at the walkstations (qy-10) etc but i think i do need a proper keyboard layout, even if half-size
Answer:
Generally, anything with mini keys and onboard sounds is going to be cheap crap and sound like it Might be an idea to give us some background information? What's the project?
