Question:
Just picked up a Casio Privia Px-300. My Kurzweil SP76 died after 6 years and I couldn't fix it so I was looking for something to play that had a good piano touch. I found the best bang for the buck with the Casio. I was surprised. I played almost every leading brand out there Roland, Yamaha, Korg, etc and I liked the feel of the Casio the best and it's an 88 note and very light weight to carry to gigs. The pro boards I liked were in the $1500-2000 range and out of my budget for now.The piano sounds are great as are the Rhodes. Also it has built in drums. Of course it has some limitations but I like it as a MIDI controller, for now anyway. I play mainly jazz and blues and the keys have a solid and weighted bite to them. Has anyone else treid out this board? Let us know, good or bad.
