I am repairing an old Casio PT-1 musical keyboard and am searching for a chip. Its a NEC upd1867g . I've contacted NEC about it but they say it is a custom part and can't provide it nor any data. Can anyone help? If you could, it would be greatly appreciated!

This IC was custom made for Casio only. You must contact the Casio parts department to purchase this IC. You can also go to one of their authorized parts and service dealers. If you visit the Casio site, you can contact them to find their authorized dealer in your area. There is a chance that they will request you to give them the unit for service only, if the part is still available. They may not sell you the part directly to service it yourself.
