Does anybody have any suggestions for a digital piano keyboard stand with good stability - one with very little movement - especially when notes at either end of the keyboard are played?

Question:
Does anybody have any suggestions for a digital piano keyboard stand with good stability - one with very little movement - especially when notes at either end of the keyboard are played? I have a Roland RD-500 and the stands I've tried so far always seem to bounce too much. I don't know if a stand exists with the excellent stability of an all in one cabinet, like that of my previous keyboard (a Yamaha Clavinova), but I would be interested to hear any advice.

Answer:
I used to have a stand from Ultimate that was about as stable as possible. It was made of about 1 1/2 aluminum tubing and held up to three keyboards. It completely surrounded the keyboards and the angles could be locked in place. Alas, it didn't fold and was too much trouble to drag around. I don't remember the model number and I don't know if they still make it, but any store selling ultimate brand should be able to tell you about it. Many keyboard stores used them for store displays.

Check out the new computer-friendly keyboard stand at Beexalted.com. It is designed to look like a regular piano. Very sturdy, has plenty of storage, and can house a computer as well. Quite innovative!
