Question:
I'm not familiar with much of Mike's work, but found a cassette recently with a tune by him. I love the tune and would love to find the CD it's on. No titles on the cassette j-card, so I'm hoping someone out there can help me track down the song name. The tune has vocals by a woman who I assume is Maggie Reilly. Whatever she sings is not in English (sounds like a made-up language of some sort). And there is vocal accompaniment by what sounds like someone singing through a vocal synthesizer. I know that's kind of a vague description, but if it sounds familiar, and anyone can help, I'd be most appreciative.
Answer:
That description fits several works by Mr.Oldfield, but I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you might be thinking of Sheba from the Q.E.2. Album. Sheba... Definitely Sheba (from the Album QE2)
