Question:
I went to a store today and played on the RD-600 and several others like Kurzweil and Alesis. I think Alesis's keyboard action is the worst among this group. The piano feel is just not there. RD-600 is definitely the best piano keyboard out there. Does anyone have full experience with Korg's keyboard? I know Korg makes quite a few full size weighted portable keyboards. However, one thing I like to concern is the budget. I like to look for a keyboard with the most functions for the money. At this point, it seems like Alesis QS8 has the most to give for the price. I think it has the most sounds and expansion capability in its flash ram cards. Korg's N1 is another keyboard I am thinking about because it has similar features as Alesis QS8 minus the expansion capability and is around the same price range. Roland RD-600 has no synthesizer but it makes up with the great keyboard action and is about $500 more. The last one I am considering is Roland A90. I think its keyboard is based on RD-500 if I am not mistaken. At this point I am not too sure about the difference between Rd-600 and A-90 except A-90 can add expansion board. Can anyone help me with my selection?
