Can someone who is familiar with both the Korg Triton and the Korg Wavestation tell me: how similar are they?

Question:
Can someone who is familiar with both the Korg Triton and the Korg Wavestation tell me: how similar are they? Or, to phrase it another way: can the Triton do wavesequencing / vector synthesis? I've tried to look at the Triton product brochure and I can't tell.

Answer:
I have a Wavestation AD and know a little about the Triton. I do not think the Triton can do wave sequencing or vector synthesis. However, vector synthesis is easy to simulate using layers. Wavesequencing is harder to simulate, but can be done with layers and arps. The Karma is better suited for mimicking wavesequences. However, neither the Triton nor the Karma can do the tricks the Wavestation can.
