Question:
Does anyone have the mid and lower end Korg tuners (CA30 and GA30 for example). I have the GT12 with an analog meter ... it's great tuner, but it has some dumb functionality that I don't need, but I'm trying to determine if these other tuners: 1. Have 1/4 output as well as input jacks (for using inline during performance) .... I assume this is standard on all of them, but amazingly they don't list it in the specs or put a picture in of anything other than the front of the tuners. (and two different online retailers have ignored my inquires as to the issues, inlcuding my favorite FMQS!) 2. How would you rate the performance of the digital meter? I love the analog needle on the GT12 and it's disappointing to see they don't offer it on there other guitar tuners ... Thanks much for any experienced commentary ...
Answer:
I've got both the CA30 and GA30. Bothe have 1/4 input, but neither has a 1/4 output. I have no problem tuning with the digital meter. The Korgs tend to be sensitive to ambient noise when tuning acoustically. I have to turn off the TV to use them. I also have an Intellitouch. I can clamp it on either the CA30 or GA30 and invoke a tone from the Korgs. The Intellitouch centers perfectly to the note. Also, I can invoke a tone from one Korg to the other, and the digital meter centers perfectly. (Must mean something.)
