I was wondering if anyone has used the new Korg Micro Korg...anybody? How is the vocoder? Does it have an external signal input for the vocoder section?

Yes I have. There's a full review on the Sound on Sound pages: www.sospubs.co.uk Many folks seem to love it, but I don't think it's anything too impressive. Those minikeys can be seen a blessing or a curse and the editing is painful (though, again, some seem to like it - maybe this has to do with how many knobs your other synths have!). The sounds are surprisingly powerful, but Korg have seen fit to stick well within the 'home keyboard goes dancing' area from the printed genres on the front panel to the ropey presets they've supplied. The Vocoder is reached either via an in-built mic, or has a line input. You can vocode external signals too
