Question:
What kind of guitar does Carlos Santana play?
Answer:
Mostly Paul Reed Smith these days, but he is known to have a few in his collection of other makes... He plays Paul Reed Smith has since Smith started building them. Take a look at http://www.prsguitars.com Custom prs. Go to prsguitars.com to look at the Santana I model. Also visit santana.com for all kinds of santana stuff including equipment (it's Carlos' own site) He's been associated with PRS guitars for a long time, although I can't say for sure what he's actually playing these days. www.prsguitars.com I saw a bootleg of a recent concert. He was unrecognizable with a short haircut and nice clothes. He laid 3 different guitars. One was a Fender Stratocaster (don't know which model) that looked fairly new. He also played a Gibson SG which may have been his old one from the 60's and he played his PRS. Through the years he has played several guitars but lately he plays mostly a PRS. Almost exclusively PRS Santana models, but he actually went out and bought a Strat for his last album so he could play with EC (Clapton).
