Question:
I have a Steinway upright in the Bethesda, MD area and I'm trying to sell it. I believe it would get much more exposure over the Internet than through traditional printed ads, but I could be totally wrong. Anyhow, what's the best way to sell this Steinway? Are there any really good internet sites where people buy and sell pianos? Ebay looks kinda crappy for selling pianos...so, any other ideas?? This piano has just been sitting here forever...it's in good shape too. But either way, any advice you can offer is totally helpful. Also, please email responses to me, as I'm musically challenged and don't usually read this newsgroup...I did think it might be the right place to ask though!!
Answer:
Steinway uprights aren't as in demand in the resale market as you may think. It's thir grand pianos, the L and the B that are in the greatest demand for home use. You really want to sell it locally because most people will want to see a piano in person before they buy.
