Question:
This is rather off-topic, but there doesn't seem anywhere more appropriate to ask for help. Can anyone suggest where in the UK I might buy a *used* Roland continuo organ keyboard C180, or advertise for one on the Net? It would have to be in perfect playing condition but even quite serious cosmetic damage wouldn't matter.
Answer:
it really is worth bearing in mind with equipment that if the case has been dinged, then the sensitive stuff in the box will also have recieved shocks, if the box is is beaten up, then the stuff in the box will most likely have suffered something. I refuse to buy anything that's evidently beaten up, and/or anything that rattles unless it's very cheap, just on the basis that this is all evidence that the equipment has been hurt fairly badly at some time or another (the one exception is a keyboard I bought off my teacher which has one rattle, but being as it was gigged and had and still has 100% reliability, and also that I knew my teacher wasn't a crook, I knew I was safe buying it off him...
