Question:
I need som advice byuing Midi sound moduls I hav been now looking at Roland SC 88VL, Korg NS5R, and an Yamaha Keyboard. All of them sounded good, but I have allways been told that Roland is the best on PC - Midi music. To the korg moduls with it's 1000 of sounds looked really good with easy display and use, But to me it sounded a little less professional than Yamaha. especialy the string sounds. Is Roland still the best on this market
Answer:
An interesting fact: Korg is a subsidiary company. Of who you might ask? Yamaha. Korg and Yamaha are one in the same. I personally love Korg. I think the synths and modules give really great sound (not as good as Oberheim and the older Rolands but none the less good). I'd buy the Korg over the Yamaha, because I've found that Korg sets it's machines up in a very intuitive and user friendly way. As for a the Roland. in my oppinion Roland hasn't made a really impressive in a while though I hear the new ones are quite good.
