Does anyone have any tips on how to make Roland Mc 505 more deep and professional?

Question:
I have a Roland Mc-505. I try to make some house/funky music. My problem is that I feel that the bass drums and claps are too soft. Does anyone have any tips on how to make them more deep and professional?

Answer:
If you have a computer, link the MC-505 to a soft sampler and use samples of already processed drums. Alternatively, get a good multi-fx unit and play with it for a while, I can make my pathetic little TR-505 sound quite beefy with some cheap filters!
