Roland Synthesizer

Tagged As: Roland Synthesizer

Question:
I've got a FP8 (FP-8) Roland Synthesizer, and I'd like to know if it's possible to get the built-in demo songs as midi files, through a sequencing program (Cakewalk for instance). Otherwise, have those songs been replayed by some good musician and put on the net? The composer is 'John Maul', graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London, but I haven't found a trace of him on the net... I'd really like to have those songs in midi format, to be able to replay them slowly, and to learn from them...

Answer:
John, why not just set up Cakewalk to slave to your keyboard's clock and record the data in real time? You can put it all in one track and then split the track by channel data. I've fooled around with my keyboard's demos using this method.
