Tagged As: Super Mario Piano

Has anyone noticed that the opening piano part in Wetside Story (and the piano for most of the song for that matter) sounds a lot like the music in the original Super Mario Brothers video game. For all you video game fanatics (and losers) out there, I'm talking about the music from the second level (World 1-2 if you want to get technical), the one that takes place underground, with the black screen. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Am I going insane? Are Don and Walt ripping off some Japanese programmer?

Wetside Story is a song that was performed on the (96?) tour. D&W mentioned that they were still working on it and hoped to record it for their next album. Since I have never played Super Mario Brothers, I can't comment on any possible similarities.
