Question:
Is a Yamaha PSR 3000 a good choice of snythesizer for me? I'm planning to create songs on a synthesizer, transfer the data to my Macintosh G4 computer, play back the songs on my computer, and as I'm replaying the songs, sing into the computer using a microphone. I'm looking for a synthesizer that's easy to use. I previously had an Alesis QS6 and found it hard to learn because it was unintuitively designed. I want the sound quality to be professional quality.

Answer:
no-it's not a synth try motif if you want a yamaha synth-but it is not easy to use for that try korg triton. psr3000 does not include a sampler just a sequencer, and you can't add any additional sounds to its soundset. Motif, Triton, and Fantom all have arpeggiators, sequencers & samplers on board and are all capable of utlilizing sample libraries and loop based recording.
