Do you have any idea on how much a new Yamaha U1 piano costs?

Question:
Do you have any idea on how much a new Yamaha U1 piano costs?

Answer:
A piano store I visited in Nashua New Hampshire three weeks back had six or seven new U1s on the floor in various finishes. The low price was $5300, for one with a satin walnut finsh. This piano had been on the floor several months and had been used by the store for occasional piano lessons. The high price was, as I recall, $6800 for a U1 with a beautiful polished mahogany finish. Nashua New Hampshire isn't the world's most expensive small city. I believe the prices are pretty good, but I don't know.

the prices for the U1 seems pretty reasonable, my wife's cousin brought a new one in San Jose, California for $8000 US. Now, that's a rip off.

I'm considering Yahmah U1 but the store here in KC is asking for about $9000 for walnut a finished one. Could you tell me when did you get the price quote of $3600 for the same color U1? Many thanks in advance.
