Old epiphone guitar, what is it? if anyone can help me ???
Answer:
From the serial # it seems to be made after 1959 when Gibson got involved so you may try to get the year-make off of Gibson's serial # chart.Gibson was using whatever parts they had laying around from Epi or themselves to put them together . Coronets had one pick up. they expanded the line to have a two pick-up model called the Wilshire with either two mini-buckers,two New Yorker pick-ups (which you may have), or two p-90's, later to be named the Cresant. although the pics I've seen of them don't have shaped pick guard you describe which the coronets do.There was also the Olympic model of which all these models shared the same body shape. It too had two PU's but not the pickgaurd shape you describe but it did have the E in the center as you describe. Hope this helps some. As far as accuracy, I only read it, I don't write it. Heck, I was only about byres old at the time watching Hoody Doody
