Answer:
Yes, I think fruityloops can use sound fontsI don't think so. FruityLoop's sample section supports: .wav, .ds (drumsynth), .syn(SymSynth), and .xi (something called a FT2 instrument file). the very latest Fruit supports SymSynth 2 presets directly. However, If you know how to do this (besides running MIDI out to the SBLive) please share! The SBLive uses soundfonts, but you still need a virtual drum machine. I use Fruity loops and find it to be quite a marvelous piece of software. I now use it to compose entire songs, and then import to CWPA for addtional arrangement and finishing. With all the upgrades and add ons it's only like $100 for the full version. Plus SimSynth is cool too.
