Vintage Drum Set Wanted

Tagged As: Ludwig Vintage Drum Kit

Question:
Looking for a complete vintage drum set for a birthday gift. Willing to spend up to $1K for a complete set in good condition. Suggestions?

Answer:
Four-piece WFL drum set offered for sale. Hardly played at all-in good condition. These instruments are formed from solid wood, and the craftsmanship of the almost seamless hoops amazes me. The rims are nickel plated. The finish is the duco blue & gold lacquer. Some areas of the lacquer have taken on a patina. The heads are mostly WFL original calfskin (Remo's on snare). The set includes a 22 x 13 20-lug bass with spurs, a 4 adjustable pressure pad, the tom-tom mount, an extra mount, a handy clip-on cymbal stand, and a twin-spring WFL SpeedMaster bass pedal. The other drums include a 13 x 10 12-lug mounted tom with bass drum mount; a 15 x 16 16-lug floor tom with 3 straight adjustable legs; and a 13 x 7 16-lug snare. The snare drum is (I believe) made of mahogany with ash. It sounds powerful & full. The bass, and two toms I believe are maple with ash. Two crash & two ride cymbals (all Zilgian) and a splash cymbal are also available. Interested? A reply either way would be appreciated!

I have a 6 piece Ludwig vintage set with a wood finish. I'll also include the cymbal stands and 3 starter cymbals, HH, Crash, Ride made from Zildjian. The crash is a little banged up but the HH and ride are absolutely beautiful sounding. Everything is in great working condition. Please contact me if you want measurements or pictures. Thanks
