my new guitar

Tagged As: Fender Katana Guitar

Question:
Just wondering if I got a half decent deal? My new guitar is a 1989 Fender Katana with a Seymour Duncan humbucker and a case for $250 Canadian. I was also wondering what it would cost if I were to get someone to add another humbucker?

Answer:
If YOU like it, that's all that matters. Have a ball. Ask local repair guys what it would cost to add another pickup.

both the fender and squier katanas have acquired a following for valid reasons. they have a great neck and (often after replacing the pickup and tuners on the squier) people often receive favorable comparisons to $1000 axes for their sound. get it into a good marshall stack or something and impress the hell out of yourself !

Yes, that is a deal, assuming it still works. The average condition Katana will sell around $400-500 US dollars. Good shape of-course for more. With a case it is even better. Pat yourself on the back, you got a great deal. I'd love to find another, not a squire though. I've been looking for sometime now with no luck.
