Question:
Are acoustic bass guitars a good idea? I've found one being sold for a very reasonable price, made by a luthier I admire. But I'm not sure I need an acoustic bass... I could do with some sort of bass for recording purposes, but will an acoustic do? I suppose it depends on the pickup... What do people reckon?
Answer:
I've never had a chance to play the best luthier-built acoustic bass guitars, so take this with a grain of salt.
