I am thinking of buying either a 4 or 5 string Epiphone Thunderbird bass, does anyone else own one?

Answer:
I played one for a while in a music store and was not impressed at all. It sounded like a cheap copy of a Gibson Thunderbird, and didn't have that trademark Gibson growly sound. I didn't like the shape either and when playing it felt uncomfortable. It seemed very neck heavy and I couldn't get comfy standing up. Mind you they aren't too dear, so it comes down to what you like. Personally I would go for the Gibson Thunderbird any day. The Epiphone reverse body just doesn't do it for me.
