From what I have seen I have shortlisted 3 - Epiphone Les Paul special 2 @ £129, Vintage V99gt Gold Top at £179 or a Danelectro 59-dc @ £169.

Someone in the group (I forget who) has a Vintage SG which he raves about. I've been tempted by the V99GT, and keep meaning to have a play on the one in our local shop. If I do, I'll tell you what I think.
