I've been following the discussion about the relative merits of Fender strats and various strat copies with great interest. I recently saw an ad for a Fender Elite Stratocaster, but have not heard mention of this particular model on this newsgroup. Anybody know anything about the Elite? Thanks in advance for any information you can provide

What I know is that Ty Tabor of King's X plays a couple of these. They are not made anymore, and I'm pretty sure they have active pickups. Well that's all I know about them, but I figure the fact that someone plays them professionally might help.
