What pickups would you put in my Strat HH?

Tagged As: Fender Stratocaster Hh

Question:
ive got a Fender Stratocaster HH, so two humbuckers onboard ... the neckie is a Fender Sidewinder, and the bridge is a Fender Black Cobra - factory setup. Im just curious as to what other pickups people would use instead?

Answer:
back a few years ago, Fender made a version of this guitar called the Double Fat Strat, which was factory-equipped with two SD '59s. That was one nice-sounding axe!

I also have one of the Stratocaster HH models with the Black Cobra and Sidewider. I have been thinking about upgrading the pickups but the do sound great right now, even with coil tapping so I am thinking about holding off. I had a 90 Strat HSS that had a Dimarzio Super Distortion Humbucker at the bridge which sounded great and that's what I would go with if I did decide to upgrade. They also make a neck pickup Super Distortion II. It really depends on what kind of music you like to play. My concern is I don't know how the Dimarzio would sound when you coil tap with the S1 switching.
