What is a Fender PJ?

Tagged As: Fender Telecaster Bass

Question:
My favorite (but computerless) bass player is seeking information on the best type of pickups to get for a '78 Fender PJ. Also, he seeks information on EDEN Traveller Bass Amp (especially advice on how to get rid of that frying bacon sound it seems to generate at gigs; opinions on quality, usage, etc) Any information on these or directions to BASS-L would be appreciated.

Answer:
What is a Fender PJ? I've heard the Fender Precision Bass referred to as a P-Bass, and I've heard of the Fender Jazz Bass called a J-Bass, and the Telecaster Bass, but Fender PJ is new to me. If it is a Precision, or a Jazz I have it on good authority that the new Antiquity pickups by Seymour Duncan are The pickups (today).
