Question:
I was recently given a Peavey Foundation S Bass that has had the humbuckers removed. The single coil bridge pickup is still there and seems like it is working. The volume knob for the humbuckers was also removed at the same time and now there are 2 loose green wires in the electronics cavity. Since I am a guitar player and am only using this for bass for experimentation, I'm fine with just using the pickup that is left. I am, however, wondering what I should do with the 2 loose wires, should I just leave them like that? And if I do, are ther any grounding or shock concerns? Any help or wiring diagrams would be most appreciated. I have a digital camera and am able to post photos if that would be helpful
Answer:
So you have 2 holes in the bass where the split humbuckers were Neato That would. I have a Foundation S Active. I believe it is the same as the S except the actual pickups are active instead of passive. The volume and tone controls are passive.
