Tagged As: Peavey Milestone Bass
Question:
A friend (who is a bass guitar teacher) has recommended the Peavey Milestone as a good beginner bass. I am happy to accept his advice particularly as they are an inexpensive new buy - usually cheaper than a secondhand Fender Squire - and feel/sound OK to me.
Answer:
I think that Peavey makes some fine budget basses. I'd rank them above the latest batch of Fender squires, especially the affinity series. Personally I'd go for the single P pickup do to it's simplicity and fatter tone but then again I'm more of a traditional bass sound kinda guy.
